Meet the Owner of Zeke's: Grace Hutchens

Zeke’s Breakfast & Bakes brings you a daily array of freshly-baked goods, coffee, and a full breakfast menu available daily. 

Grace and her husband already owned another downtown business, Apothecary Ale House & Cafe, and decided to expand to a second business by opening up Zeke’s in September of 2020. They saw that there was a need for breakfast downtown and they had always wanted to open up a restaurant like that.

They decided to open up the business in downtown Morgantown because they’re already established here. 

“We live downtown, socialize downtown, and work downtown. So, we’re very oriented to downtown,” Grace says.

Grace’s favorite part about owning Zeke’s is the community and knowing the owners and employees from other businesses. She has created friendships that were easily made from being a part of a small downtown community.

What makes Zeke’s unique? Well, they’re one of the few breakfast options downtown. They make all of their food fresh every day from scratch. They bake their own bagels, pastries, biscuits, where everything is made in-house.

Want to hear a fun fact? Zeke’s is named after a dog that Grace had when she first started dating her husband. How sweet is that!

Make sure to stop by Zeke’s and enjoy from their delicious menu, whether you want a granola bowl, breakfast sandwich, biscuits and gravy, waffle, potato bowl, breakfast taco, or bagel! They even have a variety of hot and cold drinks, such as coffee, tea, and hot chocolate!
