Main Street Morgantown announces a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for a professional artist or artist team to design and install a public mural at 335 High Street along Wall Street Alley in Downtown Morgantown, WV, 26505. The selected artist or artist team should be capable of installing this work by June 2025. The artwork will become a long-term addition to the Morgantown public art collection, so don’t miss the opportunity to write part of the Morgantown story! View the RFQ below.
About the Alley Revitalization Initiative
For the past 40 years, Main Street Morgantown has worked to develop and promote vibrant and prosperous Downtown and Wharf Districts. Main Street Morgantown believes art is a poweful tool for revitalization. To encourage a welcoming and attractive district, thoughtful revitalization and property investment, Main Street Morgantown’s Alley Revitalization Initiative seeks to improve downtown alleyways with murals that enhance our sense of place. Over the course of this initiative, Main Street Morgantown will work with local partners to install multiple public artworks throughout the downtown area and encourage lighting enhancements and improvements to the built environment.
