Downtown Event Loop
A walking loop connecting the Downtown and Wharf
The Event Loop is an experimental urban loop connecting Downtown to the Monongalia River and Wharf District.
Use this 1 mile (18 minute walk) loop to enjoy the beautiful scenery, events, shops and restaurants within and between the districts. This loop features paved surfaces with moderate elevation changes suitable for walkers and bikers.

About the Loop
This loop takes you from Courthouse Square along High Street, to Walnut Street Landing, across Hazel Ruby McQuain Park & Amphitheatre via Mon River Rail Trail, and along Decker’s Creek Trail. It connects to Foundry Street at the South High Bridge and back to the Courthouse. Bright signs point the way.
