Today's Economy and Becoming a Destination

Jon Schaller Destination BootCamp

This email is for business owners who have to make money with their businesses.  If your business is just a hobby, and you don't have to live off the money you make from your business, you can skip this message now.

In an economy like this one, the typical response of most business owners is to cut back on their marketing, wait for the economy to change, and try to wait out their sales downturn. Unfortunately, this is exactly the WRONG strategy.  Being passive and waiting for things to get better will not work in today's economy.  If your business profits and sales weren't what you wanted them to be last year, just "staying the course" won't get you through this one. The truth is:  Doing more of what you've done, won't get it done in this economy.  You cannot work any harder, and most of you are already working smarter.  Isn't it time to try something different? Last week, a trade publication asked me to start writing a business column for them.  The editor told me: "30 of our top businesses have closed this year." This is really unfortunate because none of my clients who are BootCamp Graduates have closed their businesses in 2008, and most are either holding their own or writing sales increases! Turning your business into a consumer Destination has never been more important than it is today.   With that being said, I wanted to let you know that our registration deadline for our May 20-22 Destination Business BootCamp® is this Thursday, May 8th.  I invite you to come to Longmont, Colorado and spend 20 hours (2½ days) learning a strategy to grow your business that has taken me 22 years to develop. For more information visit,  www.JonSchallert.com & www.DestinationBootCamp.com and train your businesses without them leaving their business: www.DestinationUniversity.com : The first online training library for independent business owners.
